So, it goes like this- Carl, my great-grandfather married Cora. They had Algernon.
Algernon, my grandfather, married LaVanchia. They had my dad.
They then divorced. Dad was adopted out at age 2.
Algernon remarried to Mary Jane, who already had a son, Arthur, from her 1st marriage. They went on to have Thomas Carl- the son we can't find beyond military records for Algernon, around 1942.
They then had Caroline Rose, who, by the 1950 Census, was born in 1946.
Algernon and Mary Jane divorced shortly after. Algernon remarried to Pauline and died in 1953.
Arthur, Caroline's half brother, fathered 4 kids and died in 1971 in Viet Nam.
So, long story short-
Algernon had my dad from his 1st marriage.
He then had potentially a son and definitely a daughter from his 2nd marriage. (The son disappears after 1942.)
