As mentioned before, we appear to have new neighbors.
Said neighbors, last week, when it was hot and very dry, went and got a bunch of recycled road gravel (the stuff they grind off and chew up when resurfacing roads) and filled in the washed out holes in the gravel drive.
All well and good, made for more pleasant driving up and down the drive...
Until the rain started on Monday and hasn't stopped.
It also doesn't help that they have several big trucks- raised, wide tires, you know the type, and drive fast up and down the drive.
Mark said it was back to being a rough drive again yesterday.
Today, they're out there, in the pouring rain, putting more road gravel down.
Which won't do a thing as long as they continue to drive fast, hit the puddle, splash the gravel back out, etc.
It's a futile exercise, refilling the holes.
Which was why we stopped doing it. Oh well. They do it enough times, they'll learn.
Or they won't.
(If we could afford to have the 1/4 long drive regraded and regraveled, we would. Until then, well, we make do.)
Family ish still happening. Still processing some information.
