My great-aunt Shirley lived in Idaho. We’d go visit her most summers when I was a kid. She always had rhubarb. We’d just eat it like stewed fruit. So good! Occasionally my Mom would buy some and can it, but we didn’t have our own plants.
See, I grew up with solely rhubarb in pies. Strawberry rhubarb seemed strange to me the first time I encountered it! But I realize it’s too tangy/sour for a lot of people. :)
