Getting a jump start...
Dec. 30th, 2022 14:44On stuff for next year.
It's quite the list I've set for myself. Figured out the ornament for next year, so, having saved up nearly the entirety of the final season of Queen Sugar, am now working on the pieces required for those while binge watching.
Sorted the ornaments and such into their respective bins, so i can see how many of each I have or don't have, and restock accordingly. Have gone through the bins of yarn, rearranged, figured out what I need more of, etc.
Got the electric bill, and ugh, no more single digit temps requiring the auxiliary heat to come on please. It uses way too much electricity.
Annual physicals are next week. Boob squish appointment is the week after. Not looking forward to either really.
Dojo is adding Tai Chi classes in February. Still undecided if we want to add those to our class load or not. Martial arts and Hapkido classes start back next week.
In not so fun news, toilet decided to start leaning to one side. So Mark crawled, literally, up under the house to see why. Turns out, the subflooring has dry rot around the base. So it all needs to be replaced. Not surprised, really. The former owners obviously replaced that area once- it's a different level than the rest of the bathroom subfloor, and they pieced in the vinyl flooring around it, creating seams, *and* caulked around the base of the toilet.
We'd been wanting to switch the toilet out for a newer model anyway, so now, we have no choice. Come tax refund, the toilet will be pulled, the subfloor replaced and new vinyl plank flooring put in, *over* waterproof underlayment if I have anything to say about it. Just need the temp bracing we have in place to keep the toilet from moving, to hold out until refund time.
