Dear Mother Nature...

Look, I appreciate all the rain, really, I do. We're still below where we should be as far as rainfall goes and my garden needs the water.

But... (you knew there was a but, I'm sure.)

A spectacular light show, complete with sound effects for 2.5+ hours, at zero dark thirty is so not conducive to sleep. Seriously, 8500+ lightning strikes in that time period, was a wee bit excessive, don't you think?

I mean, yes, doing it at night meant the lightning really showed off, but still. Some of us really need that sleep, you know? Especially since we'd already been having issues with insomnia to start.

On that note, hey, thanks for getting the Duo all wound up as a result too. Getting trampled by two 2 yr old kittehs just after dawn, repeatedly, because, oh mew gods, birbs! is also not conducive to sleep. Mayhem chittering at them from the night stand is adorable, but Mischief doesn't chitter- she stands on my shoulder and believe me, I don't need more pressure put on an already bad shoulder to make it hurt. (And then she scrambled across my head to get to the other window! What *is* that!) Even Morrigan was looking at them disapprovingly.

I see you have a new severe storm system headed my way. Can you at least try to have it come in before midnight this time? Please? I mean, we have an early hapkido class tomorrow.
